- Why I chose this program: Most of my interviews were virtual and EVMS has the best interview vibes by far. Everyone seemed really happy and confident in their abilities and I could tell the residents I spoke with genuinely loved the program. Additionally, I wanted to train at a Level 1 trauma center with a diverse training environment and EVMS checked all the boxes!

Why I chose this program: EVMS is an academic powerhouse that offers unique EMS opportunities like EVOC and Nightingale, unmatched pediatric training, and community rotations with full trauma responsibility. The residents at the social were the happiest I met on the trail and they absolutely love the PD, Dr. Byars. Also, the beach is in your backyard and the Norfolk food scene is amazing (shoutout Orapax)!
